GEMS NI - HARTE Project

Building on the success of the HARTE 1 programme (2008-2011) HARTE 2,  which fast tracks people to gain qualifications, skills and job opportunities in the Hospitality Retail and Tourism Sectors is now up and running with already two groups taking HARTE in Belfast with the next group ready to go in Lisburn early 2012. 

The HARTE programme is open to unemployed people living  in the Belfast and Lisburn City Council areas and works with people who can give the committment with support built in,  to participate in a  10 day intensive skills development course and provides mentoring support, next steps skills development and targeted job search. 

The HARTE programme is working with key employers in Belfast and Lisburn and connecting with the other employment services and skills and training programme happening in relation to developments such as Titanic Quarter in Belfast and new Hotel and retails developments in Lisburn.

HARTE is an European Social Fund Project of Belfast City Council in partnership with Lisburn City Council and is lead by TIME Associates in partnership with GEMS NI and Belfast Metropolitan College.
